Christine's Approach
I work with adults on a broad selection of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, grief & loss, mood support during pregnancy and postpartum period, and stress management. My treatment approach is holistic, meaning I treat the whole person and view the mind-body connection as important to our overall well-being. After a comprehensive initial evaluation is completed, I will partner with you to develop a treatment plan that meets your individual needs. This plan may include psychotherapy, the use of medications, or a combination of both. In our sessions, I utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques drawing from cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, supportive, and interpersonal branches of therapy. With your permission, I would be happy to collaborate with other providers to help you meet your wellness goals.
Professional Background
Prior to returning to graduate school, I worked as a Labor & Delivery RN caring for high-risk obstetric patients and their families. During graduate school, I had several intensive clinical experiences including working in a large community mental health clinic treating individuals with chronic mental illness, a rotation treating patients on an eating disorder unit, as well as an internship at the Sexual Assault Resource Center in Beaverton providing crisis support and counseling sexual assault survivors. I have been in practice with a focus on perinatal mental health for 10 years. I have had the opportunity to work with a wide range of mental health issues and bring this experience to my practice.
